ICONSIAM official opening, Bangkok
Iconsiam, the 54 billion Thai baht (US$1.65 billion; £1.3 billion) mega-city project for futuristic living, opened its doors in 2018 with an event dubbed the ‘Mega Phenomenon’.
This invitation-only private event welcomed VIPs, celebrities and artists from both Thailand and around the world, alongside members of the Thai and international media.
We were commissioned to create a Physical Poetry show for the occasion. We casted the best classical Russian dancers, and paired them with the finest music, make-up, costumes and choreography, to deliver a show featuring contemporary dancer-magicians in a classical ‘Swan Lake’ performance, revisited by the stars of the Mariinsky Theatre of St Petersburg.
The show was directed by Erika Lemay and consigned by Maximage Co., Ltd.
The event also featured a line-up of international artists including Choi Siwon, Kim Dong-jun and boyband F4, with a highlight performance by Alicia Keys.
