Inspiring Young Generations
Erika was invited as a guest performance during this awarding ceremony devoted to Belgian talent of Moroccan origin having the privilege to collaborate with Moroccans once more but this time in Belgium. It might have been colder outside but the usual warmth of this community welcomed her with a thunder of applauses.
Thursday, March 19, the Event Lounge hosted for the second consecutive time the Diwan Awards, organized by the ASBL Divers-City.
900 invited enjoyed a cocktail, a seated dinner and many activities bordering on perfection rewarding talent from the Belgian-Moroccan community.
Diver-City is a special democratic initiative based on the idea of 'living together'. The event took place wants to reward the creative talents from the Belgian-Moroccan community and hopes in this way inspire young generations. The nominees are viewed as positive role models. The event not only welcomed many guests, including familiar faces like politicians Charles Michel, Didier Reynders, Jan Jambon, Joëlle Milquet, etc., but also captured the attention of the media. VRT TV TV Brussel and Brussels were notably present in order to make a detailed account of the event.
The Diwan awards extended their opening by welcoming neither Moroccan, nor Belgian Erika Lemay to inspire the audience by the mean of her Physical Poetry, a language accessible to each and everyone of us.
Le jeudi 19 mars, l’Event Lounge accueillait pour la deuxième fois consécutive la remise des Diwan Awards, organisée par l’ASBL/VZW Divers-City.
800 à 900 invités y ont profité d’un cocktail, d’un dîner assis et de nombreuses animations encadrant à la perfection la récompense des talents originaires de la communauté belgo-marocaine.
Divers-City est une initiative démocratique particulière reposant sur l’idée de ‘mieux vivre ensemble’. L’événement qui se déroulait à l’Event Lounge veut récompenser les talents créatifs originaires de la communauté belgo-marocaine et espère de cette manière inspirer les jeunes générations. Les nominés sont en effet considérés comme des modèles positifs. L’événement a non seulement accueilli de nombreux invités, parmi lesquels des visages connus comme les politiciens Charles Michel, Didier Reynders, Jan Jambon, Joëlle Milquet, etc., mais a également su capter l’attention des médias. La VRT, TV Brussel et Télé Bruxelles étaient notamment présentes afin de faire un compte-rendu détaillé de l’événement.
